About Rollmaster

Precision Timing Sets, Built for Performance

Rollmaster is a trusted performance parts brand specialising in high-quality timing chain and sprocket sets for a wide range of engine applications. Since 1980, Rollmaster has built its reputation on accuracy, strength and reliability, continually improving its materials, machining processes and product range to meet the needs of engine builders, racers and performance workshops.

Owned by Nornda Automotive, Rollmaster forms part of a long-standing Australian performance parts business with a strong manufacturing heritage. Nornda Automotive acquired the Rollmaster and Romac brands in 2007, adding them to its existing range of timing gear sets, oil pumps, gear drives and harmonic balancers.

Engineered for Accuracy

The Rollmaster approach begins with billet steel construction. Rather than using cast iron sprockets, Rollmaster timing sets use billet steel for both crankshaft and camshaft sprockets, allowing 100% CNC-machined surfaces for improved accuracy and reduced wear.

Most Rollmaster timing sets feature multiple crank keyways, typically nine unless otherwise stated. This gives installers a precise and dependable way to adjust cam timing without relying on offset bushings or components that may move or loosen over time. Crankshaft sprocket keyways are generally arranged in 2-degree increments, allowing camshaft timing adjustment in 1-degree increments.

Premium Chain Technology

Rollmaster Gold and Red Series timing sets are fitted with Rollmaster/Iwis Pro Series timing chains. After extensive testing, Rollmaster selected German-made Iwis chain for its strength and performance, then worked to refine the chain into a Rollmaster-exclusive product. The result is a timing set designed for consistent performance, accurate cam timing and long service life.

Gold Series sets include nitrided sprockets and, in most applications, a one-piece Torrington thrust bearing. Red Series sets use premium one-piece Iwis full roller timing chains, with brass thrust washers included across much of the range for improved performance and reliability.

Red, Gold, Blue and Vernier Timing Sets

Rollmaster offers a comprehensive range of timing sets for popular performance and standard replacement applications, including Holden, Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Rover, AMC, BMC and other engine families.

The range includes:
Red Series timing sets for high-quality performance applications.

Gold Series Premium timing sets with nitrided sprockets and upgraded thrust bearing features on most applications.

Economy timing sets using Rolon chains for selected standard replacement applications.

Gold Vernier adjustable timing sets for applications where fine camshaft adjustment is required. Vernier sets allow the camshaft to be dialled in independently using an adjustable two-piece cam sprocket design.

Line Bore Timing Sets

Rollmaster also supplies line bore timing sets in selected oversizes, including .002”, .005” and .010”. These sets are designed for engines that have been line bored, where sprockets must be made larger to take up chain slack and maintain correct timing geometry.

Built for Engine Builders

Rollmaster timing sets are designed for installers who need parts that fit correctly, perform reliably and provide accurate cam timing control. With billet steel sprockets, CNC machining, quality chain selection and a broad application range, Rollmaster has become one of Nornda Automotive’s flagship performance brands.

From street performance engines through to serious race applications, Rollmaster continues to focus on precision, durability and practical installation advantages for engine builders and performance workshops.
